Nacht des Wissens / Night of Science (Jul 9, 2022)
As you already know, CIDBN will be present at the Night of Science on July 9, 2022. You will find us on the first floor of the ZHG on the central campus next to the German Primate Center’s booth. CIDBN’s research will be presented to a broader public in a fun way. For example visitors are invited to play the classic video game “Space Invaders” with
either the visual abilities of a cat or a mouse. Of course, predators like cats (or us) need better vision to catch their prey… Furthermore, there will be a unit on optical illusions to demonstrate how the interaction of the brain works and why we have to learn to see. Children (and adults, too, if they like) are invited to make their own optical illusion with paper, scissors and glue.
Of course, all this will a bit of work and help is still more than welcome. If you have time to lend a hand, please contact Yvonne.
